MI lawmakers seek amnesty for past due Drivers Responsibility Fees

Lawmakers pursue amnesty program worth over $600 million for drivers who owe drivers responsibility fees. A bipartisan package will be introduced Thursday that would grant full amnesty to more than 300,000 motorists who owe the state Driver Responsibility Fees, wiping out the debt completely on Oct. 1, 2018.
